Rescue 199 crew joins major rescue effort

UPDATE: Four wildfowlers and their dogs rescued in successful operation. The group were waist-deep in water with their dogs treading water. Rescue 199 returning to base in Prestwick.

Rescue 199 from Prestwick is currently involved in a rescue operation of a number of Wildfowlers and dogs at the River Roe close to Lough Foyle.

Coleraine and Ballycastle HM Coastguard teams along with Portrush lifeboat and Greencastle Coastguard are at the scene with Belfast Coastguard coordinating the rescue.
