Proposed Home Bargains store for Limavady welcomed

1 Mins read

Sinn Féin councillor Brenda Chivers has welcomed the planning application for a Home Bargains store in Limavady.

Cllr. Chivers said “Home Bargains will apply for planning permission to open a new store in the Market Yard area of the town centre.”

“A common complaint in Limavady is the lack of variety in the town for shopping, this store would go a long way to addressing that.”

“If this goes ahead it will bring new jobs which is great for the town and help offset some of the recent job losses in the town and surrounding areas.”

She added “Sinn Féin will continue to work along with Council and the Chamber of Commerce to push for investment and much needed jobs in Limavady as we face into an uncertain few years as the impact of Brexit becomes clearer.”
