Liam Beckett (BBC Radio Ulster) Ian Lamont (Roadside Garage) Rodd Hogg (Magician) David Boyd (Roadside Garage), warm up for forthcoming Belfast Marathon.

Roadside Garages, based in Coleraine, County Londonderry, has entered three teams into this year’s Belfast City Marathon Relay. The teams will be raising money for children in Northern Ireland, with all donations going towards local charity, NI Children to Lapland Trust (NICLT). The charity aims to fulfil the dreams of terminally ill, long term ill and deserving children, by taking them to see Santa at his home in Lapland and other destinations.

The Kia dealership’s three teams of five will be headed up by local personality, radio and press sports pundit Liam Beckett, local Magician Rodd Hogg and Roadside Garages’s Sales Manager, Ian Lamont. The teams, who are currently undergoing training, will be participating in the relay on the 1st May 2017.

Ian Lamont commented, “NI Children to Lapland Trust is a charity very close to all of our hearts. The team there work very hard to raise money to take terminally ill children to visit Santa in Lapland and other destinations. This creates days for not only the children to remember, but their families as well. As a local dealership, it’s important for us to support our community and we’re hopeful that we can raise some much needed funds for such a deserving charity.”

NICLT has thanked Roadside Garages for its support in assisting its endeavours to raise money for terminally ill children in the Northern Ireland region.”
