SDLP Councillor Maura Hickey Steps Down From Council

Former Causeway Coast & Glens Mayor Alderman Maura Hickey ( 68) will step down from council this evening. Maura will officially announce her departure tonight at a council meeting.

The news was leaked to Causeway Coast Community at the start of the month. Maura became the first nationalist mayor of the Causeway Coast & Glens Council in 2016.

Alderman Maura Hickey served as an SDLP councillor for 12 years on Coleraine Borough Council and Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council.
