Serious Road Traffic Collision On The Curragh Road

McAuley Multimedia...Tuesday 7th March 2017.A male has died after the vehicle he was travelling in collided with a tree on the Curragh Road Coleraine. It is not believed there were any other vehicles involved at this stage. The Curragh road remains closed in both directions and diversions are in place.PICTURE MATT STEELE/MCAULEY MULTIMEDIA

The Curragh Road outside Coleraine has been closed near Castleroe Forest following a serious road traffic collision.  A male has died after the vehicle he was travelling in collided with a tree on the Curragh Road Coleraine.  It is understood the man was in his seventies.

The road is expected to be closed for some time.  

Motorists should seek an alternative route.
