Causeway Coast Community has been made aware of new signs going up at the Giant’s Causeway today.

A local walker noticed the signs when out for their daily exercise this afternoon however the National Trust have confirmed they are not responsible.

Two sets of signs, one closing the road down to the causeway stones, and another set along the clifftop path were spotted by our follower:

In a statement, a National Trust spokesperson said:

“We were made aware of the signs along the clifftop path this morning and we can confirm these signs were not erected by the National Trust.

“With regards to the Road Closure signs, the Department for Infrastructure were on site today to examine a rock fall which occurred on Monday. We assume the Department has closed the road to allow for the rock fall to be cleared.”
