Sinn Féin MLA Caoimhe Archibald has condemned those responsible for the disruption caused by a security alert in Limavady.
The East Derry MLA said:
“The discovery of a suspicious object in Benbradagh Avenue has led to a security alert and the evacuation of people from their homes.
“This disruption to the local community is unacceptable. Incidents like these need to stop, there is no place for it in our society.”
Sinn Féin councillor Brenda Chivers who was at the scene said:
“The local community hall has been opened for residents who have been evacuated.
“This is an unwelcome occurrence in Limavady.”
