Sinn Féin councillor Brenda Chivers has clarified the situation around the Christmas lights in Limavady

Sinn Féin councillor Brenda Chivers has clarified the situation around the Christmas lights in Limavady.

Cllr. Chivers said “I have been contacted by many constituents enquiring as to why all of Limavady town centre has been decorated with new Christmas lights except for market street.”

“Council staff are unable to erect lights along Market Street as shops there have been getting renovations done which require high rise work platforms which would be unable to operate safely with Christmas lights in the vicinity.”

She added “The rest of the town looks great and very festive so it is a shame that market Street isn’t decorated at the moment but I am exploring other options with council and will update you soon.”Crioch
