Sinn Féin councillor Brenda Chivers has condemned the sectarian graffiti at the former Limavady hospital.

Cllr. Chivers said “This development is most unwelcome as tensions in the town have already been running high and I would call on those responsbile to desist immediately.”

“The graffiti in question threatens individuals, nobody in 2017 should be the subject to these type of threats.”

“The location is also unfortunate as LCDI is based nearby who carry out fantastic work in the local community and do not need this on their doorstep.”

She added “I would appeal for calm and for people in the town to not let this escalate. Anyone with information on this should take it to the police immediately.
