‘Soap & Glory’ shoplifter is fined £250

1 Mins read

A MAN tried to deny he had taken goods from a Boots store in Coleraine saying he had bought them in ‘Savers’ but the items included ‘Soap & Glory’ products which are exclusive to Boots.

Russell Cummins (31), with an address listed as Bushmills Road in Coleraine then left the store with a co-accused and during the search of a property the only item recovered was perfume.

The defendant was at Coleraine Magistrates Court on October 28 where he pleaded guilty to the theft of £111.50 worth of cosmetics and perfume from Boots dating back to 2017.

A co-accused had previously been in court and Cummins was given a similar sentence – a £250 fine and he was also ordered to pay compensation of £50
