A SOLICITOR for Coleraine man Paul Fleming has told the town’s Magistrates Court he is to pass social media postings to the Public Prosecution Service.
Mr Fleming received serious injuries after being shot in the head at the end of last year.
Mr Fleming denies charges of being disorderly at Hanover Place in Coleraine and causing criminal damage to a wall and carpet on July 12 last year.
At court the defence solicitor said the defendant was “subject to a serious incident” and is “still convalescing”.
The lawyer asked if a date to contest the charges could be held in late March or April as anything earlier would be unrealistic.
The solicitor told the court he was in possession of “some social media postings from the complainant in this case which may affect the public interest decision and I will forward those to the prosecution directly. It would undermine the statement provided to police and the social media postings are in and around that time period”.
The case has been adjourned to February 15.
