The National Trust was delighted to invite everyone to experience first-hand the myth and legend of the Giant’s Causeway as it celebrated St Patrick’s Day with a weekend festival of traditional music, dance and family fun.

The celebrations and festivities took place daily from 11am – 4pm and kicked off with the’ Wakey Wakey Finn Children’s Trail ‘, which invited little leprechauns to follow the trail to the stones where they were rewarded with gold. Young budding artists also got involved in the colouring competition which took place in the café and there was also lots of family fun activities on offer throughout the weekend including face-painting and balloon modelling.

Visitors were treated to a selection of traditional Irish performances- on Friday the Lir School of Irish Dance Music performed Irish dancing; on Saturday visitors were treated to traditional Irish Dancing from the Dominic Graham School of Irish Dance and on Sunday, Harpist Katy Graham played in the café and down at the Causeway stones.
