Sunday Line Closures – 11th and 18th October

In order to complete essential engineering work on the line, NI Railways services will be suspended between Bangor and Belfast Lanyon Place and between Yorkgate and Belfast Lanyon Place on Sunday 11th and Sunday 18th October. No NI Railways services will operate on the Bangor Line on those days, with a normal Sunday timetable in place between Yorkgate and all stations north.

A bus substitution service will operate between Bangor Bus and Rail Station and Belfast Lanyon Place on both Sundays. Services from Bangor will operate 10 minutes earlier than the current train timetable and pick up on route at the nearest bus stop to the halt. Services from Belfast Lanyon Place will operate to the current train timetable and pick up on route at the nearest bus stop to the halt.

NI Railways tickets will be valid for use on Ulsterbus scheduled services from Bangor Bus Station and Europa Bus Centre. Please note that bicycles will not be carried during bus substitution services.

Passengers travelling on the Derry~Londonderry and Larne Lines who will be affected by a simultaneous closure at Yorkgate should be aware that a bus substitution service will operate between Yorkgate and Great Victoria Street according to the normal timetable. NI Railways services to and from Derry~Londonderry and Larne Harbour will progress according to the timetable from Yorkgate. NI Railways tickets will also be valid for use on Ulsterbus and Metro scheduled services between these stations.

All NI Railways services will operate as normal between Monday 12th -Saturday 17th October inclusive and from Monday 19th October onwards. NI Railways is grateful to passengers for their patience as we carry out essential work on the line.
