Coleraine players and officials this evening went through stringent COVID testing ahead of Thursday’s Europa League tie with La Fiorita.
UEFA delegates have put strict rules in place for the match which will be played behind closed doors.
The ground has been divided into zones, with individuals only allowed into their designated area.
Even our local press photographers were tested tonight, as they will be in the same zone as the players and match officials.
“We all had to go through it but it is what it is,” said manager Oran Kearney
“This is the last bit of protocol to follow, then we will have the guys back in tomorrow night for some fine-tuning before the match.”
The Bannsiders were boosted with the news that defender Aaron Traynor has signed a new contract keeping him at the Ballycastle Road for the next two years.
And there is a further boost for the Showgrounds faithful.
Despite being unable to attend Thursday’s tie, fans won’t miss any of the action.
The players and officials will be informed tomorrow of the COVID test results.
BBC will be streaming the game live.
