Three men accused of burglary at home of elderly couple have cases sent to Crown Court

THREE men accused of stealing jewellery in an alleged distraction-type burglary at the home of an elderly couple have been further remanded in custody whilst awaiting arraignment at Antrim Crown Court.

Mikulas Dansco (45), his son Robert Grulyo (18) and Edward Nemet (27) – all of the same address at Fingal Street in Belfast – are charged with stealing a quantity of jewellery, watches and gift vouchers during a burglary at a dwelling at Finvoy Road, Ballymoney, in July last year.

The men are also charged with receiving stolen goods – jewellery, watches and gift vouchers.

They appeared at Coleraine Magistrates Court on Monday where they had a Slovakian language interpreter.

The case was adjourned to mid-March.
