Three youths have been arrested in connection with anti-social behaviour in Coleraine town centre.
East Londonderry MLA Maurice Bradley has praised the police for their proactive response. He said: “I have had several meetings with the PSNI in my office in relation to the ongoing anti-social behaviour incidents across the town centre, and I am pleased that action has been taken.
“I spoke with Chief Inspector Ian Magee on Monday and he informed me that more focus will be placed on the town’s CCTV cameras in a bid to resolve the issue.
“These groups of young people are not only causing problems for those that live in and around the town centre, but they are also costing business owners by wrecking and destroying business premises.
“The actions of those involved will not be tolerated and I hope that these arrests send this message out to others.
“I would urge young people to consider their actions – a criminal record may hinder university applications and job applications.”
