TRAIN staff found a wallet containing 13 Class C Xanax tablets and also a man’s address, Coleraine Magistrates Court heard on Monday.
Police then arrested Russell Warren Cummins (30), originally from Coleraine but with an address at Linenhall Street in Ballymena, following the offence which was detected on Saturday.
At court the defendant admitted a charge of possessing Class C drugs.
A defence solicitor said Cummins was not able to get a GP appointment and had been “self-medicating” with the Xanas for pain relief.
The defendant who had 86 previous convictions, was given a one-month jail term, suspended for a year, by District Judge Peter King.
