Tributes paid to grandmother who died in Ballycastle collision

Tributes have been paid in the local community following a much-loved grandmother who died after a collision in Ballycastle yesterday evening.

The woman has been named locally as grandmother Anne Maloan from Ballycastle.

Cllr Darryl Wilson said “I was deeply saddened to learn that a woman lost her life following a road traffic collision in Ballycastle yesterday. I would like to take this opportunity to pass on my deepest condolences to all impacted by this awful tragedy”.

SDLP North Antrim representative Connor Duncan has said that the death of a woman in Ballycastle following a road collision is a tragedy that has shocked local people.

He said:

“My thoughts are first and foremost with this woman’s family and friends at this very difficult time. The Ballycastle community is in shock tonight but I have no doubt that they will rally around the family as they mourn the loss of a loved one.
