Tributes Paid To Turkish Barber Who Was Killed In A One Vehicle RTC On Saturday

Karaman Vildirim lost his life on Saturday morning in a one vehicle road traffic accident on the Ballyrashane Road. The 43 year old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hundreds of locals took to social media to pay tribute to the Turkish Barber.

Sinn Féin East Derry MLA Caoimhe Archibald has extended condolences to his family and friends. Caoimhe Archibald said:

“I was saddened to hear of the fatal tragic accident, any death on our roads is one too many.

“I want to extend my heartfelt sympathies to his family and friends of the man killed in this road tragedy.”

Constable Boyd said: “We are appealing for witnesses to come forward. We would especially like to hear from anyone that may be able to help us trace the movements of the deceased’s vehicle, a blue Nissan 350Z, between 9pm on Friday night and the time the collision was reported shortly after 8am on Saturday morning.
