Three men accused of cultivating cannabis following the seizure of over £40,000 worth of drugs in the Coleraine area on September 6 have been further remanded in custody.
The trio – all aged 26 – are Patrick Warzichowski, of no fixed abode in Coleraine; Szymon Karpik, of Mount Street, Coleraine and Marcin Kobylinski, of Townhead Street, Ballymoney.
They each face four charges of cultivating cannabis at the Mount Street property listed as Karpik’s address; possession of cannabis; possession of the drug with intent to supply and being concerned in the supply of cannabis.
The three men first appeared at court in Ballymena on Saturday September 8 where they were remanded in custody. They have now appeared in court again, via video link from jail where they have been on remand, this time at Coleraine Magistrates Court on Monday.
Defence solicitor Ciaran Shiels (Madden & Finucane) said Warzichowski had previously applied for bail which was refused.
He said there were issues regarding addresses which are being looked at to allow the defendants to apply for bail.
The court heard the full file in the case is due to be with prosecutors at the end of October.
The three men were further remanded in custody as the cases were adjourned to October 29. Mr Shiels said if addresses become available before that bail would be applied for.
