Emergency services attended the scene of a serious road traffic collision on the Whitepark Road, Ballycastle shortly after 4pm this afternoon.
Police air support flew a dedicated HEMS medical team to the scene along with coastguard teams from Ballycastle and Coleraine. HM Coastguard helicopter 199 from Prestwick was also tasked.
One of the casualties was transferred by road ambulance to the Causeway Hospital and subsequently airlifted by the coastguard rescue helicopter to the Royal Victoria Hospital, Major Trauma Centre.
It is understood that there are a number of other casualties but their condition is unknown.
