Two in court on drugs charges

TWO people have appeared at Coleraine Magistrates Court to face drugs charges.

Samantha Jane Elliott (30), of Knockbracken Drive in Coleraine, is accused of possessing cannabis and faces a second charge of being concerned in the supply of cannabis.
The offences relate to October 17 this year.

Ryan Laverty (28), of Gordonville Park in Ballymoney, is charged with possessing cannabis on October 17 and possessing the Class B drug with intent to supply.

Both defendants were given £500 bail and District Judge Peter King said their cases were going to be “fast-tracked to the Crown Court”.

The cases were adjourned to mid-December.
