Police in Coleraine responded to a report of pipe bombs earlier today being placed at an address in Portrush.

A PSNI spokesperson said “We have just arrested 2 males in connection with communicating false information in relation to a hoax bomb call.

“One of the males was playing a bit of hide and seek under a mattress. But the officers were able to locate the male and arrest him.

“Hoax bomb calls not only waste Police time but also inconvenience the public and community in the area.”
