Two teaching staff have tested positive for COVID-19 at Coleraine Grammar School. The positive tests were confirmed yesterday.
In an email to parents this morning Dr Carruthers confirmed that he contacted PHA who advised him that there was ‘no need for any other staff or pupils to self isolate on this occasion’.
The letter read “I am writing to let you know that two members of the CGS teaching staff tested positive yesterday for Covid-19.
As I am required to do, I contacted the PHA who advised that there is no need for any other staff or any pupils to self-isolate on this occasion. This is because I was able to confirm to the PHA that the staff concerned followed the required social-distancing protocols at school.
Just for your information, I have attached a copy of the PHA template advice letter for parents/carers of pupils who have not been identified as a close contact.”
