A Coleraine councillor is urging drivers to be considerate of residents particularly around popular walking spots.
DUP councillor George Duddy says he has had several complaints from residents in the Mountsandel area who are being plagued by people parking outside their homes in a bid to access Mountsandel Forest.
“As of this week, the car parks at our forests are open,” said Cllr Duddy.
“I would urge people to use the car parks to prevent annoyance to residents.
“Some residents have told me that they have been unable to access their homes due to cars blocking drive ways, and this can cause problems for those with a disability.
“It is great to see so many people out taking exercise, and making use of the many facilities that we have within the Borough, but I would ask for consideration.
“I am hopeful that now that the forestry car parks are reopened that this problem will be reduced,” said Cllr Duddy.
