Speaking to Causeway Coast Community this morning Councillor William McCandless said “The Las Vegas shooting has been the largest mass shooting in U.S. history.
There are at least 50 people dead and hundreds injured.

The events which unfolded last night in Las Vegas are horrific. This city has always afforded a warm welcome to visitors from Northern Ireland and further afield.
It is difficult to comprehend that someone could be so filled with evil and that he could be prepared to inflict such heartache and pain on innocent people simply out enjoying a Music Festival.

The scale of the death toll and this injured is hard to take in. The families of the victims I am sure will be in our thoughts and prayers and I wish a speedy recovery to those so horribly injured and acknowledge the bravery and commitment of the first providers.”
