Waste Collectors ‘unsung heroes’ – McShane

1 Mins read

Causeway Coast & Glens Independent Councillor Padraig McShane has welcomed improved working conditions for local waste collectors. In a statement today he said everything should be done to enhance safety for our essential workforce.

“We take them for granted most days of the week but our waste collectors are out doing the rounds in what is deemed essential work.

Today they have been given masks and have been reduced to two per bin lorry to implement social distancing as much as possible.

A bottle of hand sanitiser and not a complaint. FairPlay to the lads and their families”.
