1 Mins read

A WOMAN committed fraud by false representation by saying ‘police’ would pay a bill at a hotel.

The defendant, Linda Purdy (55), with an address in Ballybogey, committed the offence last December.

The defendant also made off without paying for a bill at The Hedges Hotel near Stranocum.

The case was mentioned at Coleraine Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena on October 12, where the defence solicitor was Denise Gillan.

District Judge Peter King said a report showed the defendant had “significant mental health issues”.

The case was adjourned to November 2.
