A Cullybackey woman pleaded guilty yesterday at Coleraine Magistrates Court to a fraud charge which involved placing an advertisement on Facebook selling tokens belonging to Barry’s Amusements in Portrush.
Ballymena Daily reports that Leanne Hoey (45) admitted the charge ‘possessing articles in connection with fraud’.
The online media website went on to say how “The court heard how a member of staff from Barry’s Amusements contacted police to say he had been notified that a Facebook advert had been placed by someone offering 50 of the amusement tokens for £15.
The court was told the tokens retail in Barry’s for 50p each.”
The case was adjourned until later this month.
