A WOMAN was followed as she walked away from Coleraine Train Station before she was headbutted and punched in the face by another woman.

The details emerged at Coleraine Magistrates Court on Monday where Natasha Nalty (32), with an address listed as Ballycastle Road in Coleraine, had previously admitted assault relating to August 27 last year.

The injured woman received a cut lip and bruising to her face.

A defence solicitor said Nalty had a “lengthy record” but said in recent years it had “dramatically reduced”.

District Judge Peter King deferred sentencing until June and said if there are no further offences the defendant would not go jail but if there were she faced starting off with four months.
