1 Mins read

A WOMAN ‘covered in blood’ who ran down a Ballymena street towards police officers following an alleged knife incident has now “left the country,” Coleraine Magistrates Court heard on Monday.

The update was given in connection with Ioan Gabor (43), with an address listed as Warden Street in Ballymena, who is charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent to his wife on October 29 this year.

He is also accused of being disorderly in a public place – Warden Street – and assaulting a female police officer.

The defendant is expected to make a new application for bail at Antrim Magistrates Court on February 11.

A previous court heard the defendant had denied the charges.
