Red Bay All Weather and Inshore lifeboats launched on service this morning at 08.45 to go to the aid of a sinking yacht near Cushendall.

Both lifeboats were quickly alongside the 40ft vessel. Salvage pumps from both lifeboats were transferred to the yacht along with 4 lifeboat crew members who were able to save the vessel from sinking. The Lifeboats then towed the yacht to Red Bay where it was safely brought ashore.
