A 16-year-old youth – one of two people charged in connection with an armed robbery in which jewellery was stolen from a shop in Portrush – has been granted bail subject to £1,000 being lodged and an address being approved by police.
The development came at Coleraine Magistrates Court on Monday.
The youth – who cannot be named because of his age – was given bail to his parents’ address in Rotherham.
Defence solicitor Keith Kyle said the boy’s parents had travelled across on an overnight ferry to be at court on Monday.
A co-accused – Gioni Muntean (22), of no fixed address – was further remanded in custody.
Both accused are charged with robbing Dunluce Street Antiques in Portrush of jewellery on Friday November 16.
