A man appeared in court this morning charged with the murder of Victor Desmond Hamilton.
The body of the 63-year-old victim was discovered on the driveway of his home in Orkney Drive of Ballymena on Wednesday.
Mamadu Saido Djalo (29) with an address of Springfield Crescent, Belfast appeared by videolink before Coleraine Magistrates' Court sitting in Ballymena.
Djalo only spoke to confirm the charges against him.
A detective sergeant said that he believed he could connect the defendant to the charges.
None of the facts were opened in court and the case was adjourned to August 8.
In a statement last night a PSNI spokesperson said: A 23-year-old woman has been released on bail pending further enquiries while a man aged 33 arrested on Sunday, 31st July remains in custody at this time.
