Man charged with controlling prostitution for gain and brothel keeping

Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Unit have charged a 76-year-old man.

He is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court on 8th July on charges of controlling prostitution for gain and brothel keeping.

As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

These charges relate to an ongoing, proactive investigation by the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Unit focusing on the Greater Belfast area.
