Borough’s golf courses in ‘tee-rrific’ condition as restrictions ease

BT Coleraine

Golfers across Mid and East Antrim have been getting back into the swing of things since courses reopened to members on 20 May.

Elected members and members of the golf clubs in the borough have been praising the quality playing surface which now awaits them.

With the current pandemic leaving golfers unable to practice their putting in over two months, many were delighted to return to the fairways.

Last year Mid and East Antrim had an extraordinary year of golf with the ISPS HANDA World Invitational presented by Modest! Golf being held in the borough.

Despite this year’s prestigious event being cancelled, golfers have been getting back to the tee boxes in their droves and enjoying the borough’s excellent golf courses in tip top condition.

Members are reminded to continue to follow public health guidance and to adhere to social distancing measures while on the course.
