A consultation period by the Department of Infrastructure to introduce 20 MPH restrictions at numerous schools throughout the Borough has opened.
The Order will introduce a part-time speed limit of 20 miles per hour on lengths of:
– St Pauls Primary School
– Ballymena Academy
– Moorfields Primary School
– Carrickfergus Grammar
– The Diamond Primary School
– Islandmagee PS
– Upper Ballyboley PS
The effect of the Order is that the current speed limit applicable to the lengths of the above, shall be reduced to 20 miles per hour when a 20 miles per hour limit is indicated by means of a variable message traffic sign.
