Police investigating murder in Ballymena name victim

Detectives from the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team investigating the murder of a man at a house in the Orkney Drive area of Ballymena in the early hours of this morning (Saturday, June 27th) have named the victim as 31-year-old Jason Lee Martin.

Detective Inspector Kerry Brennan said: “Jason died after he was stabbed whilst in a house in the early hours of this morning.

“An 18 year old male was arrested on suspicion of murder and he remains in custody at this stage.

“I am appealing for anyone with information that could potentially assist the investigation to please get in touch by calling 101. Or alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
