Nando's submits plans for external seating area

Nando's has submitted a planning application for external alterations and the provision of an external seating area.

In 2020 we exclusively revealed the peri-peri chicken chain submitted a planning application to Causeway Coast & Glens Council to convert unit 22, at Riverside Retail Park into a restaurant and last month we revealed how it was seeking a drinks licence for the former Frankie & Benny’s unit.

The external seating area will provide an enhanced appearance through its contemporary but modest design.

The area will be maintained at Nando’s expense and to their planting contractors agreed schedule to ensure the presentation and maintenance of the seating area remains to a high standard throughout its duration.

Although minor in size, the seating area has been carefully considered to ensure that there will be no detrimental impact of pedestrian movements within the wider site or access to the restaurant.

The introduction of additional planters will improve the overall dining experience of the restaurant by creating a colourful and inviting outdoor seating area.

The outdoor seating area will provide an additional 16 covers.
