A UKIP councillor from Netwonabbey has confirmed that he will stand against Ian Paisley Jnr in a bid to win election to take the North Antrim seat in the upcoming General Election.
Councillor Robert Hill is a former member of the DUP but he left the party in 2014 after he criticised the DUP’s Rev William McCrea.
Mr Hill was given the nickname of “Bacardi Bob” after drinking a Bacardi Breezer during a council meeting in 2013.
