Malcolm Gamble of Carnany Avenue, Ballymoney was fined £100 for no Taxi Operator’s Licence, £100 for no Taxi Driver’s Licence, £100 for no Public Service Vehicle Licence and £250 for no Insurance. In addition he received a 6 month disqualification from driving and was ordered to pay £15 court costs.
On 2 August 2014, DVA Enforcement Officers observed Mr Gamble using his private car to transport fare paying passengers to the Glenavon Hotel, Cookstown. As the vehicle was not displaying taxi plates, officers detained the vehicle and formally interviewed Mr Gamble in respect of the matter.
