Over the past number of weeks, there has been an increase in activity on a number of local Buy Swap and Sell groups on Facebook.
Unfortunately, these groups have been overrun by people using fake profiles, going out of their way to disrupt the groups by posting obscene and disturbing content. The problem has grown to uncontrollable levels in recent days and we have had various people contact us in the hope that we could do something to have the groups removed, which, unfortunately, we cannot.
However, we at Causeway Coast News have noticed there is a clear demand for new groups to be set up, where people can Buy and Sell their goods without being subjected to such disturbing content.
So, we have created a group which will be administrated Monday – Friday – 9am – 5pm.
