More than 2000 people attended the Antrim Area and Causeway hospitals in 2013/14 due to self harming or suicidal thoughts.
Drug Overdoses were the most common type of self harm treated at the hospitals, accounting for more than 75% of patients. A further 20% were treated for self cutting.
