The last remaining derelict houses in Ballysally are set to be refurbished by the end of the year.
The Minister for Social Development, Mervyn Storey MLA has stated that the contract to refurbish the 15 derelict houses that remain in Ballysally should be awarded by the end of the month and that the work is expected to be completed by October.
This news has been welcomed by East Londonderry MP and MLA, Gregory Campbell, who said that the work will provide 15 new homes and will help to regenerate the Ballysally area.
