A number of local projects within the Ballymoney and Ballybogey area are set to benefit from the Big Lottery Funds’ Award for All programme.
A grant of £10,000 was awarded to the community radio station, Fuse FM in Ballymoney who plan to use the money to organise two fun days, one in winter and another in the summer time. They will also be organising a Scottish Ceilidh.
Ballymoney Bowling club was awarded £10,000 to make improvements to their club building to make it available for the use of the wider community. £9318 was awarded to Ballybogey over 50’s club to provide classes and outings for elderly people.
A grant of £3596 was given to Rasharkin Community Association and they will use this to fund a number of events, including floral art, table tennis and hip-hop dancing. These will be promoted at an open evening which will mark the re-opening of the community centre.
