Mr McMullan had suffered injuries after falling in Coleraine Town Centre, he refused treatment but also refused to leave. McMullan insulted a paramedic who was trying to restrain him by calling a “scumbag” and attempted to headbutt a Police Officer who was attempting to arrest him.

In his defence, the court was told that McMullan was an alcoholic and homeless, his behaviour was “fuelled by alcohol” but he was determined to turn his life around. McMullan pleaded guilty to dis-orderly behaviour and assault.
