Ballycastle man, Patrick Lyttle who suffered serious injuries after allegedly being punched by his brother in Australia at the start of the year has called for the charges against him to be dropped.
Patrick was knocked unconscious after suffering a severe head injury and was kept in a medically induced coma in a Sydney Hospital. Barry, Patrick’s older brother was charged with recklessly causing Grievous Bodily Harm.
It was reported that Patrick made his way to a Sydney Courthouse on the morning of Wednesday, 5th March and told journalists there that he was doing well, and that he loved his brother.
Patrick said that he and his brother wish for things to move forward and that he wants the charges dropped.
The court is waiting on a report on Patrick’s health, which the defence expects will show that Patrick suffered no lasting damage from the alleged attack.
