Police suspicious of Portrush charity collectors’

In a social media post over the weekend Sgt Burn said “Police received a report of 2 males in their late teens, well dressed collecting money for Children in Need in the Ganiamore Avenue area of Portrush on Friday evening at around 8.30pm.

After initial enquiries it appears this behaviour maybe suspicious. If you were collecting money in the area or had persons call at your door collecting money can you contact Police on 101 quoting crime reference number 1324 18.11.16.”

Police are keen to confirm the callers were in fact genuine.
