Translink workers join Public Sector Strike.

1 Mins read

Public Transport could grind to a halt on Friday with the announcement that alongside Teachers and Healthcare workers, Translink workers will be joining in the strike action this coming Friday, 13th March.

The news comes as officials from the Unions, Unite and GMB confirmed that they will be joining the strike. These unions are estimated to have approximately 70% of all Public Transport workers in Northern Ireland as Members.

Michael Dornan from Unite said he expects there to be a similar situation to the 2011 strike, where there was a complete shutdown of bus and rail services in Northern Ireland.
