Congratulations to Eileen McEneaney, Executive Director of Nursing & User Experience on her recent appointment

The Northern Health and Social Care Trust would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Eileen McEneaney, Executive Director of Nursing and User Experience, on her recent appointment as designated Registrant Member for Northern Ireland to the Council of the Nursing and Midwifery council (NMC).

Eileen is a Registered Nurse and a Florence Nightingale Leadership Scholar. As Executive Director of Nursing, she is responsible for the professional delivery of Nursing and Midwifery care across Acute, Community, Maternity, Mental Health, Learning Disability and Public Health services in the Trust. She commenced nursing in 1981and has held senior operational roles across a range of services and settings in the last 20 years.

Eileen will take up her new appointment in October 2020 and will take forward the NMC 2020-2025 Strategy to ensure the delivery of safe and effective care to protect the public.

Chair of the Nursing and Midwifery Council, Philip Graf said,

“I am delighted that we have found talented new colleagues to join the Council. Eileen shares our values of being kind, fair, collaborative and ambitious and will bring a wealth of expertise as we take forward our new 2020-2025 Strategy.

“The value of our nursing and midwifery professionals has never been clearer and I am inspired daily by the efforts I see from our registrants. I know our new colleagues will be a real asset, as the NMC continues to support our registrants to deliver safe and effective care and protect the public.”
